We are Matt and Stacey Keating. A Husband and Wife Podiatry team!

Our Story with LIFESOLES starts 7 years ago. At this time, we owned 6 Podiatry Practices as well as our own Custom Orthotic manufacturing Laboratory.

We saw the gap in the market for an “Off the shelf” Orthotic Range that mimicked qualities you’d get out of something more custom made. There is A LOT of insole brands for sale. Online you see products that tend to focus on fit to shoes, arch pads, cushioning. But NONE that targeted specific pain and reduced the cause of that pain at the movement source. We had a mission to demystify this crazy branding persuasion that ONE orthotic shape/design would work to help every foot and lower limb concern! It is just NOT true!!

We created the LIFESOLES signature designs/shapes of orthotic to combat common lower limb pain experienced. Check out our SUPPORT IT, PITCH IT, MASSAGE IT section in our shop to find your design.

It was a keen interest in shoes that set me on the path to becoming one of the highest qualified podiatrists in Australia. From a young age (according to my parents) I always had to have the latest shoes and would spend what seemed like hours in shoes stores checking out the latest in soccer boots, basketball shoes you name it! Fast forward and following a not so classic journey, me and my wife Stacey not only operated a large group of podiatry clinics but also became insane enough to manage our own orthotic manufacturing facility. This is where I honed my skills in design and collaborated with Stacey to established the first prototypes of Lifesoles.

To be honest I already knew there were literally 100’s of insoles in the market, but very few actually met our clinical needs - so we made our own!

Using real patients to test the product was absolutely the key, and the feedback we received formulated the product we are so very proud of today.

    When I met Matt in a country town in Victoria 17 years ago I would have never imagined the journey ahead. Together we made a dynamic Podiatry team. Between the Podiatry Practices we ran, to the Orthotic lab, and then the creation of Lifesoles…everything we built, we did together. Truly born from our passion for Podiatry and how it can improve a persons quality of life!

    I love Sports Podiatry and its here where I really honed my skills. For me, its always been about keeping people Active. Reducing risk of injury for People, but also managing them quickly and effectively if pain does occur. Customised orthotics could facilitate this. But as we started to figure out early on, not everyone can afford neither the time and the expense of a Custom orthotic.

    So we needed a product our Podiatry Team could trust would work when customisation of an orthotic wasn’t an option. This is why we created LifeSoles! Our team absolutely loved them. It wasn’t long before other Podiatry clinics started to use them. I can truly say I’m super proud of what our combined Podiatry brain power created in this signature orthotic range.
